M.O.S.V.A.Q.C. Moving Optical Sensing Video Analyzing Quick Cam =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |
Always on the ripping edge of technology, Derrickshouse.com will soon introduce the MOSVACQ; revolutionizing the Personal WebCam industry. Once a simple WebCam, the DerricksHouse cam will soon be upgraded with the hardware and software nessasary for it to track all the interesting objects that come within its range. This technological wonder is made possible though cutting edge image analysis software developed by Derrick. The software, developed in Visual Basic allows the camera to determine what objects are the most interesting in the current field of view. The software decides what it wants to look at and relays that image to a microcontroller near the camera which directs the camera to look in that direction. The Hardware consists of a Motorolla 68HC11 microcontroller and a Seagate 2 Pole stepper motor attached directly to the QuickCam. The Electronics that drive the motor coils and the code within the MCU which moves the motor and allows the PC to communicate with it were developed by Derrick as well. The schematic and AS11 code will appear here soon. The Short term plan for the MOSVAQC includes a vertical angle of motion. Long term plans involve making the unit wireless and then later the ability for it to roam around the house. Development of the MOSVAQC is continuing dispite our lack of funds.
